Babcock makes four new key appointments to drive its rail business

Babcock has recently made four new key appointments to strengthen and drive forward its rail business.

Colin Sharkey joins Babcock Rail after being appointed to the role of Head of Finance. Previously, Colin has worked for Actavo Networks and In-Home UK as Finance Director. Colin will be responsible for the full range of financial reporting, procurement and information services requirements across Babcock Rail.

David Taylor has been appointed to the role of Head of Future Business and joins Babcock with over 20 years of experience in the rail industry, most recently at OSL Rail. David will take the responsibility for all work winning activity including business development and bid management. 

Graham Atkin has been appointed to the role of Head of Plant and joins Babcock Rail after an extensive career with Babcock International Group in varying roles, most recently as Head of Operational Support in Defence.

Mark Wallace has been appointed as the Procurement & Supply Chain Manager and joins the business after a career at Abellio.

Colin Deuchars, Babcock Rail Managing Director said: “We are pleased to welcome Colin, David, Graham and Mark to Babcock Rail and look forward to working together to deliver a safe, reliable and efficient rail network for our customers.”
