70000 Britannia set to steam to Windsor for Queen’s Jubilee next year

Railway Benefit Fund has announced exciting plans in partnership with Locomotive Services Limited for a luxury train charter to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in June 2022.

‘The Royal Charter’ will embark on its journey from Crewe to Windsor on the Jubilee bank holiday, Friday 3rd June. The luxury Saphos carriages will be hauled by ‘70000 Britannia’, which was built at Crewe Works in 1951. The special train will also pick up passengers at Stafford and Nuneaton.

On arrival at Windsor, there will be plenty of time for guests to stretch their legs, explore the wide range of cafes and bars, or take the short walk to the largest and oldest occupied castle in the world!

This once-in-a-lifetime luxury steam experience will be raising funds for the Railway Benefit Fund who support railway families in need. Further details, including pricing for both dining and non-dining options, will be released in the new year.
