The Railway Children Sleepout is back for 2023

The Railway Children Sleepout is back for 2023 after a record-breaking night raised over £180,000 last time.

This incredible event draws people from across the country, has a huge impact and a brilliant atmosphere and attracted over 300 participants from across the rail industry in 2022.

All the charity is asking those taking part to do is to swap their warm bed at home for the cold floor of a railway station for just one night. It hardly replicates the hardship faced by so many children around the world, who often have nowhere safe to sleep at night, but it does help them raise awareness as well as vital funds to support them.

In 2023 the Railway Children Sleepout takes place on February 2nd.

There are already eight station locations confirmed across the UK and all you need to do to join the Sleepout is to register, choose your venue and raise a minimum sponsorship of £100.

For that you’ll also get a beanie hat to keep you snug throughout the night and the Railway Children team will be on hand at every station to answer questions and make sure everyone knows just what a huge difference they are making to vulnerable children in East Africa, India and the UK. You can take part as an individual or get a company team together – either way you’ll have a great night and make a huge impact.

VolkerRail has agreed to sponsor the Sleepout once again in 2023 and together with the support of Network Rail this brilliant industry backing means any money raised by participants will go even further and change even more children’s lives.

Capacity at each station is limited so visit https://www.railwaychildren.org.uk/events/events/railway-children-sleepout/ to find out more and register to take part now.
