AmcoGiffen appoints new Regional Head of SHEQ, Scotland

AmcoGiffen introduces new Regional Head of SHEQ, Scotland, Andrew Wilson.

With more than twenty years’ experience covering a range of sectors, Andrew is described as a perfect fit for the role, following a successful six-year tenure as UK Health and Safety Manager at Roadbridge.

Prior to that Andrew had a varied career path with a strong background in rail, having started his working life as a PTS engineering supervisor, progressing through the ranks. He also managed to put himself through two comprehensive university degrees. Firstly, a Mechanical Engineering Degree at the University of Paisley, followed by a Health and Safety Degree, at the University of West Scotland, along with several other safety and environmental courses.

As he started his new role as Regional Head of Safety, for Scotland, Andrew said: “I’m delighted to work for AmcoGiffen, having seen first-hand the importance placed on a positive safety culture, right from the very top.

“I’m eager to help drive the behavioural science programme, working with our people to create the right conversations and circumstances to get it right, first time, every-time.

“The tools and resources are in place. And, I’m ready to get going.”
