AmcoGiffen Celebrates Procurement Ethics Mark

Strong supply chain ethics is a real business differentiator. AmcoGiffen celebrates its supply chain principles by achieving the CIPS corporate ethics mark from the largest professional body in the world for procurement and supply.

The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) has awarded AmcoGiffen the CIPS corporate ethics mark demonstrating their commitment to ethical practice in their supply chains. The company is a civil engineering design and delivery company offering innovative and complex multi-disciplinary services across the transport, energy and environmental sectors. As part of the assessment to achieve the code, employees completed a programme of challenging ethics training and passed a test in fraud, corruption, bribery and environmental concerns in procurement and supply chain.

Ben McCluskey, Procurement Director for AmcoGiffen said: “In achieving the ethics mark, AmcoGiffen demonstrates assurance to suppliers and clients. It also shows that we’re committed to the code, such as eradicating unethical practices, conducting business with respect and integrity, supporting social values and working professionally. Not only is this the right thing to do for our supply chain community, but it’s also right for us as an employer, the commitments and values directly align with our corporate values, safety, professionalism, integrity, respect, innovation and teamwork. Companies that achieve the ethics mark are included in the CIPS Corporate Ethics Register which includes various sectors and organisations around the globe.

Commenting on the achievement, CIPS UK General Manager Jonathan Morgan said: “AmcoGiffen has focussed on ethical procurement as a touch point in all their services to enhance the company’s reputation and to highlight what they believe is important in today’s marketplace.

“I congratulate them on their achievement and applaud their efforts on modern slavery statements and improving ethics all the way along their supply chains.” The CIPS Ethical Procurement and Supply eLearning and Test has been recently updated and renewed to provide quality learning and guidance for organisations concerned about preventing unethical practices in their supply chains. Developed for all levels of procurement professionals, the programme and test enable individuals and organisations to hone their skills and knowledge and ultimately demonstrate their commitment to ethical practice.”
