ASLEF halts strike action at Chiltern

Chiltern Railways has said that ASLEF staff will not be striking on its services on 30 July.

ASLEF has withdrawn the Ballot for Industrial Action Notice issued to Chiltern Railways and consequently the strike announced that Saturday will no longer proceed. Chiltern had written to ASLEF to challenge the basis of the ballot process.

This means that Chiltern Railways will run a normal timetable on Saturday 30 July. However, it warns that services are likely to be extremely busy because of the wider action and the Commonwealth Games.
