Atkins appoints Alex Parsons as Advanced Signalling Development and Delivery Director

Atkins – a member of the SNC-Lavalin Group – has appointed Alex Parsons as Advanced Signalling Development and Delivery director, a newly created role responsible for leading and further developing Atkins’ in-cab and wayside signalling delivery capability. 

Alex has over 20 years’ experience in the rail industry and joins from Tracsis, where, as Managing Director of the Rail Operations and Planning Systems business, she oversaw the development of innovative award-winning enterprise solutions.

Prior to this, Alex held a number of senior roles across SNC-Lavalin’s Rail Consulting business, having previously headed up the Signalling Control product delivery at Resonate.

Atkins’ signalling business brings together new technologies, software systems and working methods to design safe, efficient, and future-proof digital railways services. This includes the development and the ElectroLogIXS electronic interlocking and level crossing controller system which has been successfully deployed across the UK network, most recently on the Feltham and Wokingham re-signalling programme.
