DB Cargo UK has appointed a new Chief Transformation and Digitalisation Officer to drive a step change in its use of technology to improve operational effectiveness and customer service.
Marie Hill, who has been Head of IT at DB Cargo UK since January 2017, is now a permanent member of the UK Board with immediate effect.
Her newly-created Transformation Team will work with departments across the business to develop and implement plans to make the company more innovative, agile and efficient – a key pillar of DB’s future strategy to improve and grow its business.
Commenting on Marie’s appointment, CEO Andrea Rossi said: “I believe that by accelerating and expanding our digital capabilities we will significantly improve the quality of the services we can offer to both existing and new customers.
“The technological landscape continues to change rapidly and Marie’s role will be to develop and implement a roadmap that maximises future opportunities to improve the way we do business with our customers.”
