Deadline for heritage awards just days away

You have until this Friday (28 January), to nominate your work for the Heritage Railway Association Annual Awards 2022.

There are ten categories a heritage rail organisation can apply for this year:

• The Morgan Award for Preservation
• The Coiley Locomotive Engineering Award
• The HRA Award for Diesel Locomotion
• The Lord Faulkner Young Volunteer Award
• HRA Award for Communications
• HRA Award for Environmental Innovation 
• Most Innovative Fundraising Idea
• HRA Award for Small Groups
• HRA Award for Large Groups
• HRA Award for an Outstanding Visitor Attraction

The organisers have provided a few suggestions to entrants:

• Keep the entry upbeat and to the point, as the judges have a lot of entries to read.
• Add in plenty of photos.
• Make sure there is as little repetition as possible.
• When writing your entry, do all you can to make it stand out from the rest.

The HRA 2022 Awards will be presented at the Awards Dinner on Saturday 19 March 2022 in Birmingham. Tickets will be available soon.
