Derby-based company Tidyco receives ISO 14001 accreditation

Tidyco, a multidivisional organization providing solutions to a number of industries including rail, climate and electrical, have achieved ISO 14001 accreditation after months of hard work and dedication.

The accreditation confirms to customers and other key stakeholders that the company operates an Environmental Management System that has been assessed by a UKAS accredited certifying body (bsi) and that it has been verified as meeting the requirements of the ISO 14001 standard. Furthermore, it demonstrates the commitment to the company’s environmental responsibilities, which ultimately contributes towards the aim of reducing long-term impact on the environment.

Quality & Training Manager, Jeff Turner, who was also the Project Lead, had this to say: “This is a fantastic achievement for us as a business and officially verifies our commitment to environmentally responsible and sustainable manufacturing. From both a Quality and Environmental perspective, Tidyco have always strived to do the right thing, both legally and morally, but to now have official recognition of those efforts is something that we as a business feel extremely proud of and we will endeavour to build on this foundation as we progress on our current growth trajectory.”

Philip Mason, Production Director, supported Jeff’s comment with the following: “I am very proud of everyone’s engagement with this project, from the apprentices up to the directors. We see this accreditation as validation of what we have been doing for the last decade. It doesn’t stop here. We can’t rest on our laurels, I know we can do even better”.

Phil went on further to say: “So far we have managed to introduce packaging recycling, EV charging points, solar panels and LED lighting but I am already looking at other projects. This has only been possible through the technical and financial support from Derby City Council’s DE-Carbonise initiative to whom we owe a debt of gratitude.

Tidyco are also ISO 9001 accredited, which was first achieved as far back as 1993 and certification has been continuously maintained since then. This demonstrates the company’s dedication and commitment to quality across the board and improved levels of customer satisfaction.
