Growing Rail delivery partner, Diamond Rail Services has appointed a new Head of Projects, Sara Pierrepont, as part of its drive to tighten quality management processes and prepare for a major turnkey fleet refurbishment programme in the new year.
Sara’s appointment comes at a time of growth for Sheffield-based Diamond Rail, which recently expanded its portfolio of interior, asset, heritage and engineering services. She will manage its latest fleet refurbishment programme (due to begin in February 2023), as well as helping to further improve project and quality management processes.
With 25 years of industry experience and a background in manufacturing, fabrication and project management, Sara is already making a significant contribution to Diamond Rail’s team and will support its continued growth.
Sara commented: “I’m very excited to join the Diamond Rail Services team and flattered that they approached me. Those who know Business Development Director Jenny Dempsey will agree that she’s a very determined professional and usually gets what she wants. But it was when I met the rest of the team I was sold.

In the longer term, Sara’s expertise will enable Diamond Rail to extend its service offering. Its sister company CTL Seal employs over 100 coded welders – and, with Sara’s help, is working towards its BS EN 15085 welding certification.
