DigiRail chairman announced as guest speaker at RSN 2022

Tim Robinson – the Founder and Chairman of Digirail Limited has been announced as one of six speakers at the Rail Business Daily (RBD) Conference at Rolling Stock Networking (RSN) 2022.

The full line-up of industry-leading speakers for the event at Derby Arena on July 7 can be viewed here.

The accomplished entrepreneur – who is also the CEO of technology firm Doddle – has more than three decades of experience working across large public sector industries and private businesses.

Tim was inspired to establish DigiRail in late 2019, following time at Network Rail where he initially headed up the freight business before becoming Route Managing Director for Sussex.

A resilient leader with a track record of navigating companies through significant transformation, Tim spent a decade in executive roles in logistics, transport, and freight in both the UK and internationally.

After 25 years in rail which included time at GB Railfreight, EWS and Network Rail, Tim left the rail sector in 2014 to build a Supply Chain software business in the fast growing world of E-Commerce.  In this world ‘digital transformation’ is a way of life, not a major project nor a department at head office.

During his speech at the conference, titled Digital Transformation – Lessons from a Parallel World, Tim will tell us where he sees great opportunity for the rail sector supply chain as we embrace digital technology at greater scale and will pick out some of the key lessons that the retail sector supply chain learnt in adopting this ‘digital way of life’ to cope with e-commerce growth.

DigiRail delivers smart, sustainable, fit-for-purpose tailored digital solutions.  It offers a powerful blend of digital and engineering expertise combined with an in-depth knowledge of the rail industry.

This year, Inspiring Rail People by Inspiring Rail People is the theme for this year’s Rail Business Daily (RBD) conference at Rolling Stock Networking (RSN).

The annual conference is this year designed to Inspire, Inform, Impact and offer Insight to help you grow your business.

With speakers in procurement roles from several well-known rail companies, the presenters will undoubtedly have something of interest to showcase for all delegates.

The conference will also include panel discussions and Q&A sessions with host Nigel Wordsworth.

The conference – held upstairs, above the main exhibition hall – begins at 10am and runs through until 3pm.

It is free to attend and there is no need to book.
