The Epping Ongar Railway has announced the appointment of George Saville as its new general manager. The appointment arises as a result of the previous General Manager deciding to stand down at the end of 2022.
Mr Saville has extensive heritage railway knowledge and experience, including most recently as General Manager at the Mid Norfolk Railway. He joins the railway from 27 February on an initial interim contract to help further the success of the railway through the 2023 operating season.
He said ” I am honoured to be joining the Epping Ongar Railway, a heritage railway which has been such a success and has so much future potential.
“As the railway’s new General Manager, I look forward to leading and serving the dedicated and loyal volunteers and staff of the Epping Ongar Railway and helping them build on the success they have already created”
