Ezi Klamp launches rail brand

Balustrade and barrier expert, Ezi Klamp, has consolidated its popular GRP products for the rail sector under the new brand “Ezi Access“.

The access structures included in the bespoke Ezi Access brand include platform extensions, maintenance hop ups, end of platform steps, access platforms, driver walkways, signal platforms and embankment stairs.

Working closely with customers to develop custom solutions, Ezi Access structures are typically made from glass reinforced plastic (GRP) which is non-conductive, and therefore ideal for use on electric lines. Equipment is delivered in kit form for simple onsite installation, and GRP has the added bonus of being lightweight, making it easier for service teams to work with. The material is also extremely durable and needs virtually no maintenance – a welcome alternative to concrete and timber.

Simon Botterill, technical manager at Ezi Access said: “We try to make life as easy as possible for our customers and advise from their drawings the best solution possible. I think that is our key strength. We see ourselves as service providers rather than product suppliers.”

As well as the Ezi Access service, the company also supplies key clamp barriers, palisade fencing, catch pit lids and GRP grating as part of its rail portfolio. Now part of the wider Modular Safety Systems group, Ezi Klamp remains a family owned and run business, and also supplies education, civil engineering and construction clients.
