Graffica joins the Sopra Steria UK Family

Sopra Steria has acquired Graffica, a specialist provider of simulation products, software systems and consultancy services to the transport industry.

Graffica specialise in providing software that allows clients to research, prototype and validate concepts in a virtual environment.

Mark Oldfield, head of transport, central government at Sopra Steria, said: “This means clients can test changes and upgrades to their transportation networks, so they can be confident they have the right solution before implementation.  This acquisition supports our drive to continue to grow our business’s transport sector to £100m, having grown from scratch to a £30m business in just three years.”

As a result of the acquisition, 30 new colleagues have been welcomed to the Sopra Steria UK family.

Mark added: “Graffica is a well-respected brand in its sector, which complements our existing digital twin capabilities and aligns perfectly with our vision to drive positive change in business and society.

“With Graffica, we can continue to develop innovative operational systems that enhance the safety and efficiency of the UK’s transport network and deliver services that make life better.”

The Graffica brand will sit alongside Sopra Steria’s impressive family of UK brands, and the Graffica team will report to Mark Oldfield.
