HS2 has appointed executive search, interim management and leadership advisory business Veredus to recruit a range of specialist project professionals for its next phase.
Veredus said the opportunities spanned multiple levels of experience across three key areas: Project Planning, Project Controls and Cost Management.
It is looking to attract experienced professionals from rail, transport and infrastructure, alongside candidates from engineering and other major capital programme environments where these specialist skills are fundamental to successful delivery.
Project Planning opportunities will involve translating project scope and strategy into integrated schedules, coordinating complex activities and dependencies, monitoring progress and providing the planning insight needed to support delivery.
Project Controls roles will bring together cost, schedule, risk, change and performance information to provide effective programme governance, reporting and informed decision-making.
Cost Management opportunities will focus on areas including cost performance, forecasting, reporting, Earned Value Management and analysis, providing the financial insight needed to support programme and contract-level delivery.
Gareth Wood, Director at Veredus and lead for the HS2 recruitment programme, said: “Major infrastructure programmes depend on having strong capability across planning, controls and cost management. These are disciplines that provide the insight, structure and oversight needed to navigate complexity and support successful delivery.
“HS2 offers experienced project professionals the opportunity to apply those skills within a programme of exceptional scale and complexity. While rail and infrastructure experience is highly relevant, we’re also keen to speak to people who have developed their expertise across complex engineering and other major capital programmes.
“There are opportunities across a range of experience levels, and we’d encourage anyone interested in contributing their expertise to HS2 to explore the roles and register their interest.”
Veredus is managing applications through its dedicated HS2 careers site, where candidates can find further information about the opportunities and register their interest.
