HS2 Ltd’s search for the Phase 2a Design and Delivery Partner has got underway with the publication of the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire for the £500 million contract.
This comes after Parliament gave the 36-mile long extension final approval in February 2021.
The winning bidder will work with HS2 Ltd to lead the delivery of Phase 2a, including managing and co-ordinating key contracts for delivering the route’s detailed design and construction, which includes 17 viaducts, 65 bridges and track along the route extending from Phase One in the Midlands to the southern outskirts of Crewe.
The shortlist for the HS2 Phase 2a Design and Delivery Partner Contract is expected in Autumn 2021 with contract award in Spring 2022.
