Jo Field has been named as one of the 100 most inspirational and influential women in Westminster.
The founder and chief executive of JFG Communications has been named in Women in Westminster: The 100. This celebrates the outstanding achievements of women in public life, recognising one hundred women who have achieved excellence in their sector in the world of Westminster, ahead of International Women’s Day.
Jo was chosen by a panel of key figures who have extensive experience throughout Westminster, and made the final 100 from a long list of parliamentarians, civil servants, journalists, public affairs specialists, political commentators and many others.
Having already been named in the inaugural Women in Westminster list in 2020, Jo was this year included for the pivotal role she has played in influencing transport public affairs.
Working with industry group, Women in Transport, and the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Women in Transport, Jo co-authored a whitepaper looking at gender perceptions and experiences working in transport. The whitepaper identified significant differences in women’s and men’s perceptions of gender issues while working in transport. The report, backed by parliamentarians, made recommendations for Government and the industry to take forward. Jo was elected as President of Women in Transport shortly after the report’s publication, and brings to the role her passion for gender equality at a time where it is central to the transport industry’s recovery from the pandemic, to help address the skills shortage and enable the industry to build back better.

Jo joined women named among the 100, along with Parliamentarians and campaign patrons, to celebrate at a reception in the House of Commons on 7th March.
