Join the Railway Benefit Fund at their Golf Day this June

Industry charity the Railway Benefit Fund is hosting its popular Golf Day on Thursday 15th June 2023 at Hendon Golf Club, London. The well-established RBF Golf Day is the charity’s flagship event, enabling them to raise vital funds to continue to support the Railway Family across the UK. This will be the charity’s 19th Annual Golf Day, this year sponsored by Abellio Ancillary Services.

The RBF Golf Day is a brilliant opportunity for company team-building or a unique day out for business clients. The day comprises full use of the greens at Hendon, 18 holes, competitions and the chance of winning the RBF Cup. Teams will be greeted with refreshments at Hendon Golf Club in the morning before heading to the greens. After a fantastic day of golf, teams will enjoy a delicious three course meal before the winners are announced and the charity raffle is drawn.

Companies taking a team in this year’s Golf Day include RailPen, Porterbrook, Health Shield, Instrumentel, Angel Trains, Sella Controls and GB Railfreight, and Abellio.

Ian Jeffrey, Ancillary Services Director at Abellio UK, said: “Abellio Ancillary Services have been attending the RBF Golf Day for many years, and I am delighted that in 2023 we are sponsoring the event again. Not only is the day brilliant for rewarding staff and networking, but most importantly it raises money for this vital industry charity.”

The cost of a team of four is £700. All money raised from the RBF Golf Day will go directly towards supporting railway people and their dependents through difficult times. RBF offer financial support to current, former and retired railway workers for issues such as debt, redundancy, illness and domestic abuse.
