Keltbray scoops several major safety awards

UK specialist engineering business Keltbray has won multiple RoSPA Health and Safety Awards.

RoSPA stands for the Royal Society for the Protection of Accidents, and its Health and Safety Awards have become important to many rail-related businesses. The awards offer organisations an opportunity to prove their ongoing commitment to raising health and safety standards.

Every year, nearly 2,000 entrants vie to achieve the highest possible accolade in what is the UK’s longest-running health and safety industry awards.

Keltbray’s Built Environment Division won their eleventh consecutive Gold Award, resulting in a second consecutive President’s Award for health and safety performance, and Keltbray have also been awarded a sixth consecutive RoSPA Fleet Safety Gold Medal Award.

Keltbray’s Highways division also won their twelfth consecutive Gold Award, which means Keltbray has its third consecutive Presidents Award, and Keltbray Rail were awarded its sixth consecutive Gold Medal Award for health and safety performance.

Julia Small, RoSPA’s achievements director, said: “This is a fantastic and well-deserved accomplishment. All our award entrants demonstrate their unwavering commitment and passion for keeping people safe at work. By receiving this recognition Keltbray join like-minded businesses and organisations worldwide, who represent the very best in their approach to Health and Safety.

“I would like to add my personal thanks for all the work that it has taken to secure this well-deserved award – congratulations to all those involved, who champion and drive up Health and Safety standards every day. You are a fantastic example to others in your sector.”

James Brown, Head of HSQE – Built Environment at Keltbray, said: “We are delighted to have received these prestigious awards which showcase Keltbray’s continual commitment to Health, Safety and Wellbeing and our vision to PH2 – Promote Health, Prevent Harm as One Keltbray.”
