Linbrooke Services Ltd Appoints Ben Lynch as Director of Rail

Linbrooke Services Ltd (Linbrooke), a leading provider of rail engineering and signalling solutions, has announced the appointment of Ben Lynch as its new Director of Rail.

In his new role, Ben will be responsible for building upon Linbrooke’s strong track record of partnership development with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and driving further growth within the rail sector. He aims to expand the company’s client portfolio, with a primary focus on harnessing the potential of Workbank within existing frameworks.

Additionally, Ben’s influence with Linbrooke’s client Network Rail will support the firm in securing infrastructure delivery contracts for Control Period 7 (CP7).

Ben’s journey with Linbrooke began as Business Strategy Director, where he gained invaluable insights into the company from the inside out. Having previously worked with Linbrooke as a client on the successful Ferriby to Gilberdyke re-signalling project commissioned in 2018, Ben possesses a unique perspective that will be instrumental in shaping Linbrooke’s future strategy.

Before joining Linbrooke in 2021, Ben held multiple senior positions with Network Rail delivering multi-million multi-disciplinary projects across the UK’s rail network.

Ben said: “Linbrooke is a business that stands out from the rest and has always been a leader in the supply chain when it came to delivery and doing things differently.  I learnt very quickly that Linbrooke’s biggest and best asset is its people, and since joining the company in December 2021 I’ve seen that to be the case first hand.

I’m proud to be taking up this position and consider it to be a honour.  Martin managed the business through a time of rapid growth and I now need to ensure the business is fit for CP7 and everything that brings with it.  I intend to get around the business to talk to you about our plans and strategy for the future.”

Discussing Ben’s appointment, Will Wilson, Linbrooke Chief Executive Officer, said: “It was a natural decision to appoint Ben as Director of Rail to lead business growth and development in the transport sector. The board have held extensive and constructive discussions with him and the Linbrooke team, and I believe that Ben’s experience from a client’s side will be of value to Linbrooke as we continue to drive the performance of our business. We look forward to working closely together to create long-term sustainable value for our shareholders and wider stakeholders.”
