The North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR) has launched its luxury offering to passengers for 2022 – the opportunity to charter its opulent Great Western Saloon carriage, a unique setting for a memorable celebration or event for up to 18 people.
Ideal for both business and personal events – whether that’s corporate entertaining, networking events, team away days, birthdays, anniversaries or retirement parties, the Great Western Saloon carriage is available for hire on a Thursday, Saturday, or Sunday lunchtime from now until October.
Built in 1948, this carriage has two luxurious seating areas with fine furnishings and observation windows for guests to admire the fantastic views that the North York Moors has to offer – whilst being hauled by a historic steam locomotive.
What’s more, the NYMR is a venue with a charitable purpose, so rest assured that all profits generated from chartering are being reinvested into preserving and caring for the railway for future generations to enjoy.
The charter experience includes:
- An exclusive return journey from Grosmont to Pickering on board the Great Western Saloon
- Signalman’s Buffet Lunch for 18 guests, which includes smoked salmon, cold meat platters, quiche and a selection of cheeses and desserts
- A dedicated member of staff to look after your group and assist with catering for your entire journey
- Pre-ordered drinks from NYMR’s drinks menu (these priced in addition to the hire fare)
