M Group Services Receives Armed Forces Covenant Gold Award

M Group Services, a leading provider of services to essential infrastructure sectors in the UK, has received the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Armed Forces Covenant Gold award.

The ERS has been developed by the Ministry of Defence and recognises businesses that pledge, demonstrate and advocate support to the defence and armed forces community and align their values with the Armed Forces Covenant.

M Group Services has been awarded the Gold award following the accumulation of multiple Defence ERS Bronze, Silver or Gold accreditations across a number of its businesses operating across the UK energy, telecommunication, transport and water sectors. M Group Services’ businesses to have secured ERS accreditations include Avonline, Dyer & Butler, Magdalene, Morrison Data Services, Morrison Energy Services, Morrison Telecom Services and Morrison Water Services.

Colin Jellicoe, Group HR Director, commented: “We are delighted to have received the Gold award from the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme. The Gold award is testament to the commitment of our people to supporting their colleagues who are current or ex-members of the defence and armed forces community, as well as all of those outside of the business who have served our country. We will continue to create an environment that enables the utilisation and development of transferable skills that are gained from serving the country.”

Richard Nelson, M Group Services Ex-Forces Engagement Lead, added: “M Group Services is honoured to have been awarded the Gold award by the Ministry of Defence. Across all of our businesses, we work hard to facilitate a culture that values and promotes our colleagues who are members of the defence and armed forces community and this Gold award is testament to the collective effort throughout M Group Services.”
