CAF was delighted to welcome Vaughan Gething MS, Minster for Economy to its factory in Newport to showcase its highly-skilled workforce and world-class production facilities.
Together with Welsh Government Special Adviser, Andy Lock, and Welsh Government Relationship Manager, Mark Cridland, and new Committee Chair of GMB Union, Jill Richards, Mr Gething was given a guided tour of the factory and introduced to Team Leaders and Operators.
The visitors showed a keen interest in the digital factory; a paper-free process that was piloted in Newport and rolled out across CAFs other global sites
Mr Gething was interested to understand hybrid technology and the opportunities that lay ahead in respect of new rail solutions and the development of greener jobs in the region.
