Rob Scarbro joins Network Rail Consulting (NRC) Australia in the role of State Manager, Victoria.
Rob is an accomplished engineering and transport infrastructure leader with significant international experience across Australia, New Zealand, the UK, and global markets. Throughout his career, Rob has led major transport and infrastructure programmes, developed high‑performing teams and delivered complex rail and urban mobility projects.
With over 30 years of experience, Rob has worked across both the private and public sectors for rail organisations including Systra ANZ, Metro Trains Sydney, Rail Projects Victoria and Victoria Department of Transport. His expertise in systems integration, design leadership, digital engineering and the delivery of large-scale projects positions him strongly to support clients navigating increasingly complex transport challenges.
As a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, Rob demonstrates a longstanding commitment to engineering excellence and professional leadership.
In his role as State Manager, Victoria, Rob will be responsible for leading the Victorian team and continuing to expand NRC’s presence within the region. He will strengthen NRC’s growing global advisory and engineering capability, supporting clients in delivering safe, efficient, and high‑performing rail systems.
