Network Rail Houston Street Project appoints Tilbury Douglas as main contractor

Infrastructure, engineering and fit out company Tilbury Douglas has started on the refurbishment of Network Rail’s Houston Street offices in Glasgow.

The industrial warehouse with ancillary office accommodation is spread across two floors. Teams will strip out existing office facilities to enable refurbishment and create new accommodation blocks within the existing warehouse floor for sanitary facilities, charge stores and workshops.

Speaking about the project, Cameron Stewart, Scottish Regional Director at Tilbury Douglas, said: “We are delighted to be working with Network Rail on this exciting project. Our team has extensive experience in office and warehouse refurbishment, and we see the current growth in this sector as an excellent opportunity for us in Scotland.
