New CEO announced for Railway Children

Rob Capener has taken over as the new CEO of the Railway Children charity, an international children’s charity working with street children in India, East Africa and the UK.

For the last 21 years Terina Keene has led the charity in supporting thousands of children who have run away or are forced to leave homes that have become unbearable through poverty, abuse, violence and neglect.

In a message to supporters of the charity, Terina said: “It has truly been a privilege to lead the organisation over all these years, and to work with such an amazing and devoted group of people. I will be forever proud of what we have all achieved for children and young people, and this has only been possible because of the support we receive from you.”

Taking over as CEO from today is Rob Capener, who himself has been with the Railway Children for 15 years.

Commenting on his appointment, Terina said: “Today I will be passing this role into the safe hands of my colleague Rob Capener who has dedicated 15 years to our wonderful charity. I couldn’t think of anyone better to take Railway Children forward into the next chapter.”
