The Department for Transport has released its latest figures on the post-pandemic use of transport which show the average levelling out from a height of 88% to a more consistent 81-82% against pre-COVID numbers.
The previous week saw highs of 91%.
The numbers are a rolling seven-day average showing a percentage compared with the equivalent period of 2019.
As with every week, the figures, which are flagged as an estimate for at least a week until the final tally can be taken from the nation’s ticketing systems.

In terms of Tube use (measured day-to-day), the lowest was 52% on Monday 18 July, and highest was 85% on Saturday 16 July.
