Pennant Rail acquire Track Access Productions

Track Access Productions Limited (TAP) is an established and respected name in the railway industry for all things Route Learning. The small business, based in Leighton Buzzard, provides services including driver briefing, mapping and route learning via a market leading online portal.

Pennant International Group is a global provider of training technology and integrated product support solutions, operating in Aerospace, Defence and Rail sectors.

As a part of the acquisition, TAP Founder (and former Managing Director) Ian Heys and Jill Heys (former Director) will be working closely with Pennant Rail in order to hand over their roles and work towards a well-earned retirement.

TAP’s former managing director, Ian Heys, explains: “We have thought long and hard about how to transition into retirement whilst honouring the agreements that we have with our valued customers, supporting our staff and continuing a business that we have put so much work, time and effort in to over the last 20+ years. We came to the conclusion that we needed to find a new home for TAP and I am delighted to say that from our first discussions, we knew we had found that home in Pennant Rail.”

Pennant International Group’s commercial and risk director David Clements adds: “The acquisition of TAP consolidates and strengthens our presence in the UK rail market and, over time, TAP and Pennant Rail will be able to support each other and develop a broader, enhanced offering. We are delighted to welcome the TAP team into the Pennant Rail team and are looking forward to the next exciting chapter for both businesses.”

Both TAP and Pennant are delighted with the acquisition, securing a bright future for TAP and further cementing the Pennant Group’s continuing strategic expansion of its Pennant Rail offering.
