Prime Minister Boris Johnson MP to give pre-recorded message at Rail Project Speed Conference, 26 February 2021

It has been announced that Prime Minister Boris Johnson MP will give short recorded opening remarks on the Government’s ambitions for Rail Project SPEED and rail’s role in ‘building back better’ from the Coronavirus pandemic, at the Conference on 26 February 2021.

Organised by the Department for Transport, Network Rail, and Railway Industry Association, the Conference will explore Network Rail’s ‘Swift, Pragmatic and Efficient Enhancement Delivery’ (SPEED), which will accelerate rail infrastructure schemes – finding ways to achieve DfT and Network Rail’s aim ‘to halve the time and slash the cost’ of project delivery.

Rail Project SPEED is demonstrating how enhancement projects can be delivered more quickly by using live projects to test how delivery can be improved.
