Rail Alliance announces appointment of Industry Engagement Director

Charlotte Pearce has been appointed as the Rail Alliance Industry Engagement Director.

As the rail sector’s largest dedicated B2B networking organisation, the Rail Alliance is all about bringing customers, suppliers, and supply chain opportunities together.

Charlotte will support the Alliance in a partnership with East Riding of Yorkshire Council and Siemens Mobility on the development of RAISE – the Rail Accelerator and Innovation Solutions Hub for Enterprise.

The facility for research, development and innovation for the UK rail industry supports a £200 million rail manufacturing facility being developed by Siemens Mobility on a neighbouring site in Goole.

Charlotte said: “I am absolutely thrilled to be working with Rail Alliance and the UK rail supply chain across Yorkshire and the Humber. As a York resident myself, it is brilliant to see this 3,200sqm of B1 accommodation and conferencing space being constructed with this level of investment and opportunity in East Yorkshire.

“Designed to support and maximise the associated economic benefits, RAISE will offer small to medium sized enterprises the opportunity to be part of this exciting new business centre concept. Importantly, it is not limited to the existing rail sector, but also to businesses wanting to get involved in developing new opportunities in rail at any level.

“As Industry Engagement Director within the Rail Alliance, my role will be to bring customers, suppliers and supply chain together focussing on innovation and skills development across our sector.”
