Rail Business Daily urges industry to #ChangeTheStory for White Ribbon Day

Rail Business Daily is urging the rail industry to back this year’s White Ribbon Day 2023, and #ChangeTheStory, taking a stand against violence against women and girls.

This year’s event takes place on Saturday November 25, and calls on everyone to help #ChangeTheStory. The charity believes that ending violence against women and girls in our society starts with small actions. And #ChangeTheStory focuses on the incredible impact organisations and individuals can have in transforming harmful cultures by standing up for women every day. With White Ribbon Day bringing people together to think about how they can make a positive difference to achieve equality and safety, uniting people to end violence against women and girls.

Dean Bruce, Managing Director of Rail Business Daily said: “This is such a significant and important campaign. Domestic abuse and violence left unchallenged can have devastating effects on people’s lives. We are proud to play our part in reinforcing the message that violence of any kind against males and females has no place in our business, industry or society.”

Rail Business Daily is a White Ribbon Day Supporter Organisation. Which means that we actively focus on raising awareness about ending violence against women and host at least one fundraiser for the charity each year. We have also collectively signed a commitment to support global efforts to change behaviours and cultures that lead to abuse or violence against women and girls and every one of our team is behind it.

Dean adds: “On average we spend almost one third of our lives at work. And for us this means that workplaces should be at the forefront of preventing violence against women. So, together with our membership organisation RBD Community, we are urging all rail organisations to support White Ribbon Day this coming Saturday – and in future – and get behind the campaign.”
