Rail Europe appoints Valentine Camusot as General Manager for Europe

Rail Europe, the leading provider of European train tickets and passes, has announced the nomination of Valentine Camusot as general manager for Europe region.

Rail Europe includes five general managers covering key markets such as APAC, IMEA, Americas, Greater China. Valentine brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously held the position of head of category management, where she handled Rail Europe’s relationship with European train operators.

In her new position, Valentine will be responsible for the expansion into offering booking solutions also for the European tourism industry, reflecting Rail Europe’s commitment to making train journeys more accessible and meet the rising demand for environmentally responsible travel. 

“As general manager for Europe, Valentine will play a pivotal role in driving our business forward in this dynamic region and strengthening our position as a one-stop-shop for train tickets. Her strong leadership skills, ability to forge strategic partnerships, and deep understanding of the rail industry will be valuable to ensure our company continues to thrive and deliver exceptional results,” said President & CEO, Björn Bender.

“I am convinced that Rail Europe has a role to play in facilitating European train digital distribution and in the upcoming mobility and environmental transitions. Our market is booming and a lot more B2B players want to be able to offer the full inventory of train journeys in Europe to their customers. Rail Europe is the reference brand in European train booking,” said Valentine Camusot.

Valentine Camusot has a strong sales background, having previously worked as National Category Manager and Purchasing Manager at Saint-Gobain, the worldwide leader in construction as well as other major national and international brands such as Renault and Amazon.

Valentine’s appointment is effective immediately. She is based in Rail Europe’s headquarters in Paris, France.
