Rail Innovation Exhibition Returns

The rail sector’s latest developments will be on display when the Rail Innovation Exhibition opens its doors on 18 October at the National Conference Centre, Birmingham.

More than 500 delegates from the rail industry, research groups, academia, and Government, will attend the Rail Innovation Exhibition 2023 later this month.

The exhibition, delivered by the UK’s innovation agency, Innovate UK, aims to showcase the projects funded by the Department for Transport and includes talks from industry leaders, Network Rail and DfT. Exhibitors, including Siemens, Network Rail, RIA, RSSB, Zugbox, Meteor Power Ltd, Varamis, and Hydroflex, will fill the show floor with cutting edge technology and new solutions at various stages of the R&D commercialisation process.

Ben Cullen, Knowledge Transfer Manager for Rail at Innovate UK KTN, said: “We’re looking forward to hosting the UK rail industry so we can share all of the incredible R&D going on.

“Innovation in UK rail is key to creating a more efficient, more reliable, cleaner and more accessible transport system. But ideas are just the start, commercialising and delivering new ways of working requires collaboration, that’s the real purpose of the Rail Innovation Exhibition.

“It’s more than just exciting new tech, it’s a forum for innovators to showcase their solutions directly to the UK rail industry, and find key connections to take those ideas further.”
