Charity the Railway Benefit Fund (RBF) are seeking images for their 2024 Calendar, kindly sponsored by TES 2000. The calendar, a staple part of the charity’s fundraising, celebrates UK railways and those who keep them running.
This year, RBF is looking for photos of anything UK rail related; whether it’s a steam, diesel or electric locomotive, a freight or passenger service, trams or underground trains, or a picture of your favourite train at a station or bridge. The charity particularly needs photos that correlate to a specific month or season, such as snowy or sunny scenes.
RBF ask participants to bear in mind the following guidelines when sending in photos:
• The photo needs to be landscape
• The images must be high quality, at least 300 dpi
• Send in a short description with your photo, such as the location, date of the photo, type of train in the image and any other fun facts
A panel of judges, led by RBF’s President Pete Waterman OBE, will choose the top 12 photos over the coming weeks. Those selected will receive a free copy of the calendar.
To enter, email your entries with descriptions over to president@railwaybenefitfund.org.uk. The competition closes on 2nd August.
