Rainford’s COMMSAFE enclosures meet the most stringent requirements of the UK’s train operating companies. With innovative interiors and vandal resistant features, COMMSAFE is ideal for all SISS applications including station management systems, CCTV & security systems, Public Address (PA), Customer Information Systems (CIS), LAN Networking, Wi-Fi controllers, car park ANPR, voice alarm systems and passenger help points.

Rainford offers unrivalled thermal management systems that minimise maintenance frequency of the enclosure and therefore reduce total life costs. Two heat management solutions are offered for light and heavy duty, which can be interchanged for an upgrade retrofit, for futureproofing. COMMSAFE cabinets include convection cooling, thermostatically controlled roof mounted fans and long-life hydrophobic filters. Air conditioner cooling is also available where required and each cabinet features an anti-condensation heater.
COMMSAFE enclosures are IP55 per EN 60529. With various size options, COMMSAFE cabinets are manufactured in the UK from Stainless Steel, have a polyester power coated finish and are available in two standard colours. Each enclosure includes 19-inch equipment mounting rails with adjustable depth and gland plates in each bay for cable entry. Network Rail approved twin secure locks ensure maximum security. Optional accessories such as additional locks and handles, power configurations, sensors and LED lighting plus more are also available.
