Building on Success 

Whilst CP6 had a slow start to projects actually delivering works on site the business took a new direction and targeted the Utility sector. This decision has seen great growth in the business and within the Utility sector with the award of multiple contracts delivering FTTP works.

This has enabled RCU Solutions to make a significant investment in several new pieces of plant and equipment to support the ever growing work bank.

We have acquired a new Bobcat Company T590 with Wheel Saw c/w 80mm Wheel, Pallet Forks and Construction Bucket.

We have also just acquired a brand-new DAF Tipper Grab and several new trailers that will assist us with material muck away and plant deliveries on various projects.

And just a few weeks ago we also took delivery of our brand new Garbin TZ 450E.

These new acquisitions have been made in line with our investment program to assist in delivering our on-going utilities works, where we are installing fibre-to-the-premises (FTTP) network across rural Essex. These items of plant will also be used on our ongoing rail works (Level Crossings / User Works Crossings) as well as our utilities works (FTTP) to help us deliver a first-rate service for our clients.

We look forward to seeing these vehicles in action on schemes across Essex and beyond.

Nurturing new talent  

It is no secret that in the rail industry an ageing workforce, changing technologies and lack of diversity compared with other sectors means that we are facing a significant skills shortage unless we find a way to recruit from the next generation.

RCU Solutions is offering paid placements with practical work experience for students currently undertaking college studies. Due to our rapid growth, we have placements both office and site-based, with a wide range of roles and experience on offer.

We’re excited to be in a position to recruit young talent and we hope the opportunities on offer can help us find candidates that could potentially grow into permanent positions with the business.
