Across the whole of the UK, we took time to remember. To recall the brave sacrifices of those who lost their lives, finding courage during moments of unthinkable danger.

Stations across the country fell silent, remembering those who had given their lives in to protect ours in times of conflict.

On the Routes of Remembrance, organised by the Veterans Charity, many staff from regional Rail Operating Companies joined others remembering the brave soldiers who have protected our country.

And East Midlands Railway

Alex Hynes, managing director of Scotland’s Railway was one of many representing the industry as the country fell silent.
