Richard Moody has been appointed programme director (freight reform) at the Great British Railways Transition Team (GBRTT).
Richard has worked in transport for more than 20 years, with the 11 years in the industry leading teams to deliver timetables, analysis and strategy, with the last four years focused on freight and decarbonisation.
Among his key successes have included the delivery of GBRTTs Call for Evidence on rail freight growth, Network Rail’s London Rail Freight Strategy and Traction Decarbonisation Network Strategy.
He said: “I am really excited by the opportunity to lead the freight element of rail reform. Rail freight is key to keeping the economy moving and has the potential to do more and it is my mission to help grow the rail freight sector.”
