RIN York 2023 set to be the largest Rail Infrastructure Networking event to date

The largest dedicated Rail Infrastructure Networking event in the UK comes to York in November.

Keven Parker, Founder of RIN and Head of Rail at specialist railway supply chain insurance broker Jobson James Rail, shares his thoughts about the forthcoming RIN York event.

Inaugurated in 2016, Rail Infrastructure Networking (RIN) has matured into 3 huge trade shows on a regional basis providing a fantastic platform to showcase new innovation, new products and services and foster collaboration within the rail infrastructure market.

Over the years the event has witnessed substantial growth, with the number of exhibitors increasing from 96 at RIN London 2023 to 124 at RIN Derby 2023 and now 150 at RIN York. Notably, the recent event in Derby proudly hosted Network Rail and many Tier 1 Principal Contractors, underscoring their commitment to strengthen connections with SME suppliers across the rail industry.

RIN York, to be held at York Racecourse on Thursday 16th November, is set to be the most highly attended event to date where the footfall is expected to exceed 1,000 for the first time.

The events are organised by Jobson James Rail, who are rail professionals themselves, on a not-for-profit basis to support the railway supply chain.

RIN York’s Meet the Buyer opportunities provide access to the heads of procurement at prominent buyers such as Alstom, AmcoGiffen, Costain, Kier, Network Rail, Octavius, QTS, Story and Unipart Rail. As we enter CP7, there is a need and want for stronger relationships and new partnerships to be forged within the rail supply chain and this growing networking event will enable businesses to achieve this.

RIN has always created a welcoming and friendly environment for exhibitors and visitors alike, to meet face to face and generate opportunities which ultimately benefit the industry as a whole. The Jobson James Rail Executive Team greet every exhibitor and visitor personally and help generate a very positive culture of mutual support for all participants.

It’s anticipated that more than 500 rail companies will be represented at RIN York, as buyers, directors, decision makers and professionals from across the industry join visitors and invited guests to walk the floor.

AW Rail Services Ltd are returning to exhibit at RIN York, Greg Mackenzie, Marketing & Business Development Manager explained:

“Successful networking is not just about collecting a huge pile of business cards or gathering followers on social media but about building genuine, meaningful relationships, cultivating lasting connections that will aid you both professionally and personally.

RIN events provide the perfect platform to launch a new product or service, showcase innovation and new direction, working collaboratively towards the same end goal to further the development of the rail industry.’’

RIN York stands as an unmissable event in the rail calendar.
