SLC Operations has appointed Mike York as Operations Director to further strengthen its senior leadership team.
Mike has been with SLC Operations since its inception just over a year ago, and during this time – as Head of Train Operations – he has helped to establish and develop the organisation’s operations function.
He said: “This is an exciting time for SLC Operations, and I’m delighted to have been appointed Operations Director.
“I’m really looking forward to leading the Operations team as we establish ourselves as the go-to company for driver hire, testing of new trains, driver training and providing End Point Assessments for the Train Driver Level 3 assessment.”
Mike started his career in the railway as a Train Driver at Chiltern Railways working his way up to Acting Regional Driver Manager for the North, before moving to Vintage Trains to work as Head of Operations. He joined SLC Operations as Head of Train Operations in February 2020.
