Managing routine maintenance challenges will be highlighted at this year’s Rolling Stock Maintenance & Depot Optimisation Congress (28-30 June, London & Online) taking place in three weeks time, with case studies from train operating companies sharing how they have improved and streamlined processes to optimise fleet availability.

Controlling cost of and availability of spare parts is a key issue to ensure minimal disruption to the available fleet. Joao Grossinho, Technical Director, Fertagus, highlights the components that Fertagus is currently able to produce in house, how to manage suitable inventory of spare parts and how they manage to source components they are unable to produce in-house.
