South Western Railway completes repainting programme

57 stations across South Western Railway’s network have been repainted both internally and externally since 2021 as part of a £1.5 million programme.

The stations that have been repainted are Sunningdale and  Windsor & Eton Riverside (Berkshire); Axminster, Feniton, Honiton, Whimple (Devon); Branksome, Christchurch, Hamworthy, Parkstone, Upwey, Wareham and Wool (Dorset); Andover, Ashurst New Forest, Cosham, Grateley, Hedge End, Hilsea, Hinton Admiral, Liphook, Lymington Pier, Lymington Town, MIcheldever, Overton, Petersfield, Southampton Central, Sway and Winchester (Hampshire); Brading, Ryde Esplanade, Ryde St John (IOW); Barnes, Chessington North, Chessington South, Fulwell, Hampton, Hampton Wick, Kew Bridge, Norbiton, Queenstown Road, Richmond, St Margaret’s and Strawberry Hill (SW London); Crewkerne (Somerset); Addlestone, Chertsey, Egham, Farncombe, Hersham, Milford, Stoneleigh, Thames Ditton, Witley, Woking and Worplesdon (Surrey) and Salisbury (Wiltshire).

A further round of repainting will start later this year, which will see a further 40 stations across the network refreshed.

“Our ongoing station repainting programme is just one way that we are improving the SWR experience for customers using our services. We hope the smarter new look of the stations benefitting from this round of improvements will make their journey with us even more enjoyable.”
