Taziker Support Cash for Kids as its Nominated Charity for 2023

Multi-disciplinary engineering specialist, Taziker has announced it will be supporting Cash for Kids as its nominated charity for 2023.

After an employee vote, Cash for Kids was chosen as the nominated charity and Taziker will be concentrating fundraising initiatives for this cause over the course of the year.  Cash for Kids is a grant-giving charity helping the children that need it most across the UK.  The charity supports children and young people affected by poverty, abuse, neglect, life-limiting illness and those who have additional needs.

Cash for Kids has a calendar of fundraising campaigns including Fit in Four Weeks, Cash for Kids Day and Mission Christmas, which Taziker is encouraging its employees to get involved in.  Additionally, employees are asked to challenge themselves and take on fun challenges and activities to fundraise.

Taziker has already raised £2,000 after a number of employees signed up for the Fit in Four Weeks challenge.  This required individuals to do at least 30 minutes of exercise each day in February 2023, achieving some outstanding results.

Emma Thompson, Head of Sustainability and Chair of Taziker’s Charity Committee said, “Taziker has always been involved in fundraising and charity activities, but we wanted to create a focused approach and bring everyone together to raise funds for the same common goal.

“Through the employee vote, it was clear that a national charity was the preferred choice due to the spread of our people throughout the UK.  It was a great feeling when Cash for Kids was announced as our chosen charity as I think this is something that is important to many people and resonates with the current cost of living issues.  Our people are based throughout the UK and key a benefit to this charity is that funds raised nationwide are distributed regionally enabling fundraisers to contribute to lasting legacies in the places local to them.

“It’s the first year that we have selected a nominated charity, but I’m so proud of my fellow colleagues who signed up to complete our first challenge ‘Fit in Four Weeks’, and it’s great to know that we’ve already raised £2,000. We hope to grow this amount by the end of the year and are encouraging all our employees to challenge themselves to do something to fundraise for this important cause during 2023!”

Nikki Thompson, Head of Granting and Regional Charity Manager for the North West at Cash for Kids said, “Cash for Kids are thrilled to have the support of Taziker across the UK. As a grant making charity we are often the last port of call for the families we help. Our grants are made possible by the generosity and enthusiasm of our supporters who commit to make a difference all year round. A huge thank you to the team at Taziker – we are very grateful for their continued support.”
