Time is running out to secure your place at Auditel’s free-to-attend rail carbon reduction webinar

With just two weeks remaining until the event, organisations in the rail supply chain are being urged to register for a webinar aimed at anyone responsible for carbon management in their workplace.

With the goal of guiding supply chain best practice, Auditel (UK) Limited (Auditel) has teamed up with Business Daily Group to present a new lunchtime webinar designed to engage, educate and inspire those responsible for carbon reduction within the rail industry.

The event will be headlined by speaker Angela Cruickshanks, Sustainable Rail Programme Lead at the Rail Safety and Standards Board (RSSB), a seasoned expert with a solid background in environmental management, stakeholder engagement and environmental risk assessment. Angela holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Environmental Consultancy from Newcastle University and is a chartered environmentalist affiliated with the Institute of Environmental Science.

Drawing from her experience at RSSB, an organisation dedicated to advancing Health, Safety and Environment improvements in UK rail, Angela will provide invaluable insights into the latest developments in sustainability within the UK rail industry, including the government’s latest targets. She will also share details of some of RSSB’s online and self-help tools.

Joining Angela will be Mark Miller, an Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Advisor at Auditel. With over four decades of experience to his name, Mark specialises in environmental strategy, system auditing, verification, consultancy, training and assurance. His expertise lies in helping organisations navigate the transition towards ESG principles and building the capabilities required for decarbonisation.

Mark will discuss the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) and its impact on businesses in the rail industry trading in the EU.

In line with government targets, the UK’s rail sector is aiming to achieve net zero carbon emissions in Scotland by 2045 and in England and Wales by 2050.

These ambitious goals have substantial implications for the supply chain, and to address the challenges and opportunities, cost, procurement and carbon solutions specialists, Auditel has partnered with Business Daily Group to present a collaborative webinar taking place November 22nd, entitled ‘Your Direct Route to Net Zero.’

Mark said: “Our upcoming webinar is designed to shed light on these complexities. We will provide practical insights, strategies, and best practices tailored specifically for the rail supply chain. By attending, organisations can gain a real understanding of the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. Navigating this path requires knowledge, collaboration, and a shared commitment to sustainability. This event is an opportunity for industry professionals to engage with experts, ask questions, and gather the tools they need to actively contribute to the net zero goals of the rail sector.”

This webinar is free to attend. Registration is open to all interested parties, with attendees having the opportunity to pose questions and gain insights from some of the industry’s brightest minds in carbon reduction.
