Achilles Information Ltd has announced the appointment of Tony Underwood to its global ambassador programme.
Tony is a former professional rugby union player, with international caps for England and the British Lions.
Following a successful sporting career, Tony became a commercial pilot initially working with EasyJet and Virgin Atlantic, before flying A380 aircraft as captain for Emirates Airlines out of Dubai.
Tony now works as a coach and mentor helping build high performance teams and sharing his own experience of what it takes to perform under pressure. He is passionate about the environment, employee wellbeing, and human rights.
On his appointment, Tony said: “I am delighted to be working with the purpose driven team at Achilles to develop the cause of sustainability and ESG in global supply chains. The work at Achilles resonates perfectly with the support I provide to organisations to help drive performance through purpose.
“I will be drawing on my own experience of elite sports and commercial airlines as we work together to grow Achilles.”
