To celebrate the 2026 Commonwealth Games, TransPennine Express (TPE) is launching a limited-edition onboard menu inspired by the flavours of Commonwealth nations.
The new menu features everything from spicy Jamaican Jerk Chicken with Coconut Rice to a classic West Coast Cheeseboard celebrating the UK.
Available from Monday 13 July to Sunday 2 August, the Taste of the Commonwealth menu will be served exclusively in First Class on TransPennine Kitchen West Coast services operating between Manchester/Liverpool and Edinburgh/Glasgow.
TPE said it would take customers on a “culinary journey with dishes representing countries and regions from across the Commonwealth.”
They can enjoy dishes like a Beef Jollof Rice representing West Africa, Cauliflower and Potato Curry with Rice and Naan showcasing the flavours of India, and a traditional Meat Pie inspired by Australia and New Zealand.
TPE said the special menu formed part of its commitment to enhancing the First Class experience.
Andy McClements, Customer Experience & Transformation Director at TransPennine Express, said: “The Commonwealth Games are all about bringing people together, and we wanted to reflect that by celebrating the flavours and cultures of countries and continents across the Commonwealth.
“We hope our limited-edition menu gives First Class customers something different to enjoy as they travel, whether they’re heading to the games or simply travelling on our West Coast services.”
