TransPennine Express partners up with the Good Business Festival

TransPennine Express (TPE) has announced a new partnership with The Good Business Festival.

It’s the biggest responsible business festival and takes place on 22 – 24 March 2022 in Liverpool.

It focuses on uniting businesses, society, and consumers in a collective effort to use corporate responsibility to tackle the biggest challenges facing the world. In keeping with this ethos, TPE has signed up to the Science Based Target initiative and continues to work towards improved diversity and inclusion in workplace, as well as supporting the communities it serves through charitable initiatives.

The event looks at how businesses can improve lives, deliver meaningful change and realise a purpose beyond profit.

TPE provides regular services into Liverpool from across the North and Scotland, and the rail operator is encouraging festival goers to use its network to attend the event.

Matthew Golton, managing director at TransPennine Express, said: “We are proud to be supporting The Good Business Festival and delighted to be working in partnership to celebrate the very best of business in the region.

“We are fully aware of the key role we play in supporting the economy of the North and Scotland through leisure travel and commuting, and are committed to utilising responsible business practices to deliver the best possible rail service for our customers.

Claire McColgan MBE, director of culture Liverpool, added: “We are heading into a new era where there is space for powerful ideas and practical changes that will help businesses address consumer and employee demand for responsible business.

“We welcome the partnership with TransPennine Express which is helping us bring people together through the three-day festival programme in March, along with showcase Greater Good events before then in Sefton, St Helens, Halton, Wirral, Liverpool city centre and Knowsley.”
