YouGov has released the findings of a recent poll which says that Wales has the worst rating from passengers for rail services.
YouGov asked respondents in a poll taken in the latter half of October how they rate their local train services. They were allowed to pick Very Good, Fairly Good, N/A (no trains in my area), Don’t know, Fairly Bad or Very Bad.
Overall, most Britons rated their local train services as either very good (10 %) or Fairly Good (41%)
In Wales, however, this positive response had slipped to overall 41%. Of those answering the survey, 22% said it was bad.
In Wales 11% of people said they didn’t have a local service – a stark contrast to London (2%)
Below is the rating split into rural and urban areas.
