That’s according to an article in The Herald, following the financial support announced by Transport Secretary Michael Matheson for the Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) and Edinburgh Trams.

While welcoming the funding, Dr Martin Bartos, chair of SPT, said it failed to covered losses incurred from March to June and ‘does not recognise the changed landscape which future public transport faces beyond September’.

Chris Packham has taken his fight against the HS2 rail scheme to the Court of Appeal today.

The article on Stoke-on-Trent Live says the TV presenter is appealing against the refusal for permission to seek an emergency injunction to stop works he claims would cause destruction or ‘irreversible and irreparable loss’ to ancient woodland sites.

He applied for the order as part of an attempt to bring a legal challenge over the Government’s decision to give the green light to the project.

He is due to appeal against the High court ruling today, with his case heard at the Court of Appeal.
